Over $100,000 raised at the FIUSMM’s Golf & Cycling Day, and over one million in program funding awarded for 2024!
On Monday, September 16th, the Golf Open and the Cycling Challenge of our Foundation returned to the Pinegrove Golf Club for a special double anniversary edition: the 20th Golf Tournament and the 10th Cycling Challenge!
The event, which was fully booked with 144 golfers and nearly 80 cyclists, raised over $100,000 in net proceeds to advance mental health research and care, as well as the recovery and social reintegration of our patients.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our 34 volunteers and our three co-chairs, without whom the event would not have been such a success: Mr. Michel Gamelin, General Manager of Caisse Desjardins du Centre-est de Montréal, Mr. Dominique Perras, Director of Structured Solutions Group, National Bank, and Mr. Marc Riel, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships, North America, Croesus.
The event was also an opportunity to announce that the Foundation will award a total of $1,113,330 in program funding this year (2024) to the Institute and its Research Center. A great piece of news for the mental health cause!
